In my role as the Digital Art Director at Walmart.ca, I had the privilege of leading a talented, dynamic team of eight full-time designers. We were the creative force behind all category verticals on the site, diligently managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
The team was tasked with ensuring strict adherence to brand standards and timelines, requiring effective coordination and a keen eye for detail. They executed creative and marketing initiatives targeting unique customer segments, requiring a deep understanding of their needs and preferences. They also played a pivotal role in developing seasonal campaigns, staying abreast of trends, aligning with the broader marketing strategy, and injecting novelty into each campaign. Their primary responsibility was to produce a broad range of marketing assets for Walmart.ca, tailored to meet each client's unique brand requirements. They were also tasked with site migration, audits, updates, promotional campaigns, and product launches, requiring them to leverage their technical skills, adapt to new challenges, and consistently deliver high-quality work.
